Best way to a smooth finish painted inside the accessories?

I am painting and installation of new pre-finished MDF a house. A Once the nail holes and joints are filled, I generally light with fine sandpaper to a smooth finish. I use an air spray without a tip that provides approximately 6 "cover, spraying a white semi-gloss interior latex. The final product is soft, but obviously plumes of dust and splash about some cutting. I remember technique of painting a car, I slightly scratched Example of a piece of paint finish with a superfine sanding pad – then applies a wax / polish normally used for gel coat and fiberglass. The result has been a very smooth finish, but very fine scratches are visible when light hits it just right. Does anyone used a technique similar to the color "sand" with interior latex, and if so, what should be used as a final varnish instead freeze-Polish coat? Perhaps a compound between the grinding and polishing wax? Any information is greatly appreciated! Thank you!
