Does anyone else find the grapes of wrath a very depressing book?
I'll say an amazing read, but I found the book really depressing. Obviously, this is what happened during the Great Depression, but it really looks bad is when you read this book. Everything goes wrong in the end, but the final Rose of Sharon nursing death and maturation. It is a girl whining self-centered wife of a loving mother. Tom discovers that what preaching Casy and dedicated his life to a more great cause. Does anyone else agree with me?
Yes, and that is why Steinbeck wrote. I wanted to show how people can refuse to help each other.
