Chickenpox is a simple common name for chickenpox, classically one of the childhood infectious diseases caught and survived by most children.
Chickenpox is caused by the varicella-zoster. It begins with mild fever and characteristic points below, in two or three waves, mainly in the body and head instead of the hands and becoming itchy raw pox (pocks), small sores that heal without scarring in most cases.
Chickenpox has a period incubation of two weeks and is highly contagious by air, two days before the onset of symptoms. Therefore, chickenpox spreads rapidly through schools and other places of contact. Once someone has been infected by the disease usually develop protective immunity for life. Chickenpox is rarely more times, but it is possible that people in the immune system illegal. Because the disease is more severe if contracted by an adult, parents have been known to ensure that their children become infected before adulthood.
The disease can be fatal. Pregnant women and people with depressed immunity are at greater risk. Death is usually varicella pneumonia. In the United States, 55 percent of deaths from chickenpox between the groups over 20 years of age. Pregnant women not known to housing and coming into contact with chickenpox should contact their doctor immediately, because the virus can cause serious problems for the fetus.
A chickenpox vaccine has been offered since 1995 and is now mandatory in some countries children to be admitted to primary school. In addition, effective medications (eg, acyclovir) are available to treat chickenpox in healthy and immunocompromised patients. Calamine lotion is often used to relieve itching and acetaminophen to reduce fever. The Aspirin is not recommended in children with chickenpox because it can lead to Reye syndrome.
Chickenpox is a highly contagious infection that spreads from person to person by direct contact or through the air from an infected person coughs or sneezes. Touching the fluid from chickenpox blisters can also spread the disease. A people with chickenpox is contagious 1-2 days before the rash appears and until the blisters scab has formed. This may take 5-10 days. It borrows from 10-21 days after contact with an infected person to develop chickenpox.
The blisters of chickenpox begin as small red papules that develops an irregular outline in the form of a rose petal. A thin wall of the gallbladder clear (dew drop) develops on top of the area of redness. The decline "of dew on a rose petal lesion is very characteristic for chickenpox. After about 8-12 hours the fluid in the vesicle becomes cloudy and the vesicle breaks leaving a crust. The fluid is highly contagious, but once the lesion crusts over, it is not contagious. The crust usually falls after 7 days sometimes leaving a scar crater.
Despite an injury goes through this complete cycle in about 7 days, another feature of Chickenpox is the fact that new lesions that arise every day for several days. Therefore, it can take about a week until new lesions stop appearing and existing lesions covered with a scab.
Secondly occur varicella infections in immunocompetent individuals, but are uncommon and rarely serious.
Vaccination Japan was among the first countries to routinely vaccinate against chickenpox. Routine vaccination against varicella zoster is also performed on the United States and the incidence of varicella was significantly reduced from 4 million cases per year during the period of the previous vaccination approximately 400,000 cases per year from 2005.
The vaccine is very safe: about 5% of children receiving vaccines fever or a rash, but no deaths, from May 2006 attributable to the vaccine, despite more than 40 million doses administered.
41 of 50 states require vaccination for children attending public schools. The routine vaccination is not the UK. The debate continues in the UK about when it will be convenient for routine immunization, chickenpox and the public U.S. should remove individual or all vaccines, are also expressed.
The CDC and national organizations are carefully observing the rate failure can be high compared with other modern vaccines – varicella major epidemics occur in schools that require their children to be vaccinated.
Catch wild chicken pox as a child often thought to produce lifelong immunity. Parents were intentionally done in the past with the parties and smallpox Similarly, for the other diseases such as rubella.
Historically, exposure of adults to contagious children has strengthened their immunity, which reduces the risk of herpes zoster.

The Original Bootlegs (12 CD Box Set) $79.98 Tori Amos’ following seems as fervent as it is unlikely, a forceful fusion of oft-mocked ’70s singer-songwriter conceits with a progressive bent in an era dominated by alt `n’ snark, yet channeled through her own, typically heart-on-the-sleeve sense of emotional dramatics. This 12-CD chronicle of 2005 live stands in Chicago, Denver, L.A., the UK and Boston may not be as expansive as Pearl Jam’s 72… |
