What kind of flowers should I get for my parents?

They just bought me a car and I want to show them my appreciation for them and the car. It’s spring time, so I want something along the lines of fresh, clean, soft, gentle, and elegant. Not too fancy like roses; I was thinking maybe hydrangeas, but what to pair them with? Or even hydrangeas at all? Oh, also colors in the yellows, blues, or purples would be pretty. Hmm..

I would say butterfly bushes as they come in a variety of colors and the blooms can last for a long time.
