strong clear adhesive for bonding glass suncatcher?

does anyone out there know of a strong bonding agent for glass. I want to hang a homemade sun-catcher in my window, and I would like to adhere small river rocks to the glass and then add filament. thanks for the suggestions.

VHB (Very High Bond) tape by 3M would be ideal for this because it will be strong enough, is clear, and will be removable without breaking the glass. I’ve used it in museums to secure graphics so know it will work. The McMaster-Carr catalog (mcmaster.com) has it, but is probably available other places, too. Not at a home center, though. An auto parts store might have it and they’ll certainly have the adhesive that is used for rearview mirrors, which would probably also work. As would silicone adhesive because your pieces won’t be perfectly flat (that’s why I’d start with VHB tape), but it’s messy and takes a long time to dry. I’d avoid household cyanoacrylate glues (Krazy Glue) because they’re probably not strong enough, though there are some industrial strength versions available in the McMaster-Carr catalog.If you can remove the window to lay it flat, then it would be much easier. No matter what you do, you want to make it so it can be removed if you change your mind or move.
